Project Overview

Selling your home can be a stressful time – packing everything into boxes, coordinating the move AND keeping the home presentable for open inspections.

Our customer had reached out to us to help them out with home projects they hadn’t had the time to get around to before the sale of their home.

The project included:

• Disconnection and disposal of sink, stovetop, benchtop and splashback

• Installation of new laminate benchtop, sink, and gas stovetop

• Re-tiling of splashback in subway tile

• Replacement and installation of new standard chrome shower head, Standard chrome Grab rail, toilet roll holder, towel rail and hand towel ring in the customer’s ensuite

• Change over, supply and installation of new standard chrome shower set, bath set, grab rail, as well as two new towel rails in the bathroom

• Supply and installation of new standard chrome tap set in vanity

• Remove and replace wall lights in ensuite, and master bedroom

• Installing LED downlights in the customer’s front lounge, vanity, kitchen, laundry, dining area and lounge room

• Raking out and re-siliconing shower square, shower floor and around bath.

• Re-grouting shower

• Application of 2 full coats of premium ceiling flat to ensuite, entrance passage, front lounge, bedroom 2, bedroom 3, rear kitchen/dining/lounge ceilings

• Application of 2 full coats of premium acrylic to all walls

The Work

Our experienced team managed every stage of the home sale preparation process, from initial inspection to locking the door on the way out.  

Key phases of the project included:

• Internal repairs and painting: Our painting team did extensive work on the property. They prepared, scraped, filled/flushed and sanded the walls before painting. Each wall had 2 full coats of premium acrylic, in the colour and finish selected by the customer. The ensuite, entrance passage, front lounge, rear kitchen and 2 bedroom ceilings were also coated in premium ceiling flat. 

• Kitchen works: This property underwent extensive kitchen works. The sink, benchtop and stovetop were removed and replaced to update the interior. The old splash-back was replaced with fashionable subway tile splash-back.  

• Tiling, grout and silicone: Our team raked out and re-siliconed the shower square, shower floor and around the customer’s bath. They also re-grouted the shower for the customer.   

• Electrical: Our team removed, replaced and installed several lights around the property. The customer asked our team to remove a few wall lights and blank them off; they also asked to replace several halogen lights with LED downlights. 

The Result
This property was really elevated by the efforts of our team. The entire interior received a refreshed look from the painting, and the downlights gave the home a modern appearance.

The kitchen and dining area was enhanced by our team’s efforts, with the new white benchtops opening up the space considerably. The kitchen island was lowered, to bring better visibility and encourage more interaction between people in the kitchen and those in the living area. 

Key highlights include:

• Updated kitchen, with lowered kitchen island, brand new bench-tops and LED downlights

• Repaired bathroom, re-siliconed and re-grouted for potential buyers.

• Refreshed interior painting, with bright new paint on all interior walls and relevant interior ceilings. 

• Updated interior lighting and electrical work, shifting away from wall lights to energy-efficient LED downlights
