Striking South Adelaide Prep for Sale Project
The Project
The client contacted us to enhance the best features of their home before it went up for sale. The beautiful 1950's home was in need of a refresh for paint, internally and externally.
The Work
This job was broken down into two parts, internal and external painting.
External painting
- Pressure wash all around house and pergolas etc.,
- Scrape, sand, bog, fill, flush
- Re-install control joints where required
- Sanding and treatment of rust using zinc phosphate primer
- Filling in gaps in the wall wherever required
- Two full coats of premium acrylic applied to timber windows
- Repaint aluminium windows and door to front entry only in two full coats of premium acrylic enamel
- Paint window surrounds (where painted badly) in matching paint to walls and surrounds
- Repaint walls, eaves, gutters, downpipes, timber windows, doors, meter boxes and fascias in two full coats of premium exterior acrylic
Internal painting
- Lay down drop cloths and cover items in plastic to protect
- Cracks in the ceiling to be taped and flushed
- Cracks in the wall to be filled, bogged and flushed
- Doors, frames, skirts, cupboards to be sanded back
- One full coat of premium Acrylic undercoat applied to all walls, followed by two topcoats of Premium Acrylic satin enamel
- All ceilings painted in two full coats of Premium Acrylic ceiling white
- All walls to receive two full coats of premium acrylic low sheen
The Outcome
The wonderful features of this 1950's house have been brought out by our team's extensive works. Even from the front of the house, you can see the changes in the home's presentation. Our team's work allowed the client to put the best version of their property forward when it came time to sell, maximisng the value for the customer and relieving the home buyer of some home repairs.
